Why Fly With Vector Aviation?

You may be wondering if Vector Aviation is any different than any other flight school. The answer is YES! So how is Vector different?


  1. Vector Aviation is dedicated to training pilots. We are not distracted by flying charter flights, providing aircraft management, or searching for more profitable means of making money. We are, first and foremost, a flight school. Our students are our priority.

  2. Our instructors are dedicated and experienced. At Vector Aviation, we have a unique blend of instructors whose goal is to use their experience to help their students become well-rounded pilots. You will find that our instructors work as a team in order to provide the highest quality instruction available.

  3. Location is key. Vector Aviation is based at Lost Nation Airport. We are only minutes from the airspace that we use for our lessons. You don’t have to spend a lot of money just flying to the practice are, you are already there.

  4. We are based at one of the few airports in northeast Ohio that has 2 runways that are oriented in two directions. That orientation is a big benefit to our students. When the wind is gusty, crosswinds can make training flights unwise. However, with two runways, we can reduce crosswinds, providing more training opportunities for our students. And, when the time is right, we can use a crosswind to our advantage to help the student increase his crosswind proficiency.

  5. Vector Aviation is pleased to operate at an airport where service is a priority. Need fuel? Just ask, and you will see a fuel truck promptly. Need assistance moving a plane? Just ask, and line service will be right there. How about those cold and snowy days when the wind is blowing off the lake? We have the ability to hanger the plane in a heated hanger.

  6. Maintenance is done on site. Vector Aviation contracts with FAA certified mechanics who are based at Lost Nation. We don’t have to ferry planes to a remote location for maintenance, or bring in mechanics to perform maintenance. Our mechanics are on site, and, most importantly, are meticulous in order to ensure our aircraft are maintained to the highest standards.
