Paul Mannion
Chief Flight Instructor
Paul is Vector Aviation’s chief flight instructor, and oversees the instruction of all of Vector’s students. He has been a pilot since 1992, and an instructor since 1998. He holds a variety of ratings, to include Airline Transport Pilot in both single and multi engine airplanes, Commercial seaplane rating, Private glider and helicopter ratings, instrument instructor, ground instructor, and advanced instrument ground instructor. Striving to hone his skills as an instructor, Paul has also attended Cirrus factory training in order to increase his proficiency in technologically advanced aircraft. Paul’s instructional experience has been concentrated on general aviation, and he has had the privilege of instructing many of our local pilots. He also has instructed at the University of Findlay and at NASA Glenn Research Center. In addition to his duties as a flight instructor, Paul is also an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner, which is a great convenience for Vector Aviation students. And with his recent retirement as a firefighter/paramedic, Paul now has a very flexible schedule to meet students at convenient times.
